These are the ultimate appetizer for a crowd. Whether you serve them for your party buffet or game time snack, they are sure to please! No need to struggle to stuff peppers anymore. By cutting the peppers in half you can easily fill them with a rich cheese and bacon mixture and bake till golden brown!
Jalapeños: 12 Jalapeños are cut and half and deseeded for this recipe but you can easily swap them out of Anaheim, Poblano, Serano or Bell peppers! If you like more heat, leave the seeds and membrane in.
Bacon: This can be swapped for any other protein, steak, chicken, ham, etc.or omitted entirely.
Cream Cheese: This cheese gives a great consistency but you can use any mild white cheese such as Monterey, goat, or ricotta.
Cheddar Cheese: This cheese is added for flavor and color.
Garlic: Feel free to add as much or little as you like just make sure it's freshly chopped
Green Onion: Chopped white and green parts
Salt & Pepper: Add both of these to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Halve your jalapeños and remove the seeds and membranes into a discard bowl.
Cook up the bacon in a pan until done and drain on a paper towel. Chop into bite size pieces.
In a large mixing bowl combine the cream cheese, garlic, salt, pepper, green onions, shredded cheese and chopped bacon for the filling. Mix until everything is evenly distributed throughout.
Fill the jalapeno halves with the mixture evenly spread in the halves. Don't over stuff them. Place them on a baking sheet.
Bake in the oven at 400 degrees F for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
Serve warm or room temperate.
